Effective Project Management
Practiced Good Leadership Skills
As a group, we split up activities/responsibilities and were able top focus on our own individual assignments which allowed us all to demonstrate leadership traits throughout the project. These individual responsibilities made all of our team members personally empowered and contributed to our motivation to conduct the best possible project we could.
Good Relationship with Oregon State University's Baseball Team
A critical element of this project was securing recognizable coaches in order to spark interest in the community. We worked hand-in-hand with Oregon State University's baseball program in order to provide this successful event. These positive results were fueled by proper coordination among players, coaches, and team members.
Good Risk Management
Our team did an effective job at adhering to our risk management plan. We took the time to critically think about the possible pitfalls of our project. With this we were able to spotlight and mitigate all risks that arose during our project. For example, we encountered the problem of Truax not allowing food inside which we gave the greatest likelihood of occurring. Instead of getting rid of the food part of our event, we were able to fall back on our risk management and consulted our contingency plan. In the end, we were able to secure a nearby location (Goss Stadium) which allowed food.
Set Milestones and Accomplished Them On-Time
In addition to creating a thorough risk management plan, our team also created a strict timeline of milestones. We had one, or two, milestones set for each week leading up to our project. This allowed us to get feedback about our project throughout the term, rather than in the end.
